Long emotional week

As many of you saw on either the news or my facebook, we had a terrible tragedy on Wednesday. Two Airmen were shot and killed, and another two injured. One of those Airman was from our base, Ramstein. Things have definitely been very solomn here. Since Danny joined the Air Force, I joined a message board of Military Significant Others. And one of the girls I've had a chance to talk to was directly affected by this tragedy. Her husband was on the bus. He wasn't injured, he came out physically unharmed. But emotionally not so much. One of his buddies was one of the Airman who were severly injured. And he knew the Airman who was killed pretty well.

Today Danny had the opportunity and honor to load those two Airmen on the planes to go home one last time. He said it was a very humbling experience to see the men from both squadrons come and help be the pall bearers and salute their fallen Airmen.

I can't imagine the things these men and women and their families are feeling. And I may not know any one of these men or women personally, but I am definitely continuing to pray for them and their families!
