It's a....

Monday Danny and I went to the doctor for the "Big" ultrasound. They did all the fun measurements and talked about how well the baby was cooperating! I'm so proud! Then as soon as they said that Baby stopped cooperating, and the tech called the Baby fiesty! I told him my child would never be fiesty and he said "I don't even know you, but I can tell that is a lie haha!" Ok, so maybe I can be fiesty sometimes, but that doesn't mean my kid will be fiesty... Does it?? At the end they told us we had to come back in a week because they couldn't get all the shots they wanted. At first I was nervous and then they said it's just the profile shot. So good news is we get to see our Baby again on Monday!! Then came the big announcement.... The tech pointed the wand between the legs and asked what we saw... I said I can't tell (I was at a very weird angle!) And Danny said nothing. The tech answers "Correct! Nothing there means there is an 80% chance it's a girl!!" Danny just grinned and I sat (ok actually laid there) in shock... "What?!? Are you sure? Because I could have sworn this baby is a boy. I have felt that way since we found out we were pregnant!" "Well I can't be sure, like I said there is an 80% chance of it being a girl, leaving 20% of it being a boy. But I would be willing to bet money it's a girl!" It definitely took some time to sink it for me. I was sooo convinced this baby was a boy! I'm not disappointed I'm getting a daughter, I just think I was disappointed for being wrong for 5 months. But I am getting so excited! I've already been scouting Etsy and Ebay for cute girl stuff!! I even found some cute girl stuff that Danny will like... It has the Indiana Colt's on it haha! After we called our family we decided we needed to celebrate, and the baby was craving ice cream! So we drove to the BX and went shopping for a cute little girls outfit! I found a really cute outfit so I showed Danny. Danny: "No. I don't like that." Me: "Why not! It's cute! It's a 4 piece outfit!!" Danny: "No, we need something that screams 'I'M A GIRL!!' not says 'Yeah, I'm a girl so what!" Me: "You want something pink and frilly?!?!" Danny: "Yes, shut up!" We did manage to find something really cute and really pink. It's 3 onesies with Piglet and Pooh and it came with a cute little bib! It's adorable! And I love how Danny is so excited to meet our daughter! So at the end of the day, we are excited to announce Analyn May is due August 7, 2011!!
