Trial Run

Last week I woke up with some mild and very uncomfortable cramps/contractions. But once I got up and walked around and drank some water they went away. Didn't think too much of it. Took it easy during the day, but as the day progressed I started feeling slightly off and a lot of pressure in my girly parts. So I called Labor and Delivery and they told me to just watch out for unusual discharge or if my water breaks to call back, but everything sounded normal. Well a little bit later I laid down to go to bed and I started having a couple contractions. They weren't super painful they were just very uncomfortable. Danny started to count them and quickly realized they were coming every 8-10 minutes. So he tells me to get dressed and I told him to call L&D but he didn't. We get into the car and headed to the hospital.

We have lived here 9 months and have never once gotten stop for the many random car searches they conduct here on base... Until the night we're heading to L&D. Of course. Luckily they were really nice once they realized I was pregnant and having some contractions. The best part of getting to the hospital at 11 pm was we didn't have to fight for parking!

We get all checked in and the hooked me up to the monitor. I was still having contractions, but the nurse said they weren't hard enough to register on the monitor. So they ran some other tests and turns out that I had a Yeast infection which was causing these mini contractions. And after some other tests they said I wasn't dialated yet, but Little Miss Analyn was sitting head down VERY VERY low. And the doctor said that would explain my awesome waddle! She also reminded Danny that when I waddle it is not funny!! He disagreed ;)

By the time we picked up my antibiotics and got home it was almost 4 am. Lucky for me I'm married to a wonderful man who let me sleep in until noon! I love that man so much!

This is Jack and I today at 34 weeks exactly!!
