Impromptu Date Night

Friday night my cousin Daniel and his wife invited us up to their house for game night. So Danny and I decided to make a date night out of it. We drove up there and went out to dinner and then we headed to Daniel's and Lisa's house. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them and playing games. We played Catch Phrase and it was boys against girls. Lisa and I were winning until the guys started to cheat. JK
Then yesterday we spent most of the day running errands and watching football. Not really fun. I was extremely bored and not having a good day. So we decided to do something to get out of the house. I got a gift certificate from work for the dollar movies and we had some free coupons to go to Trafalga (mini-golf). It turned out to be a lot of fun. I think getting out and doing stuff together reminded me how much fun we had while we were dating. We even went out for ice cream while we were waiting for our movie to start. We went and saw The Proposal. Danny and I laughed so hard! I think we're gonna buy it.
We had a lot of fun and I'm glad we decided to go. I feel bad that Danny and I don't get out just the two of us all that often. I mean we do enjoy going out with friends and family but after this weekend I realized that I need to make an effort to go out and do something active with Danny. We get so used to just sitting at home and watching a movie and hanging out that we're not actively dating as we need to. So I'm glad we did that. We don't even have to go Mini-golfing or to a movie. I think if we just made an effort to get out besides grocery shopping it will be fun no matter what. I am so grateful for Danny and I enjoy the time we get to spend together. I think I just need the extra one on one time doing stuff together to remind me how lucky I am.
